State Champs Honored

Cohesiveness and community are the mainstays of life in Stafford, a place where you feel a part of something real and tangible. Supportive and unified, we’re always proactively looking to shine the spotlight on the success of our neighbors. This sentiment was shown yesterday evening, as members of the 2018 Stafford Varsity Softball Team and Track & Field Team State Champ gathered for a special presentation at Town Hall. Organized by the Board of Selectmen, the reception recognized players and coaches for their incredible and victorious season. Athletes were honored with certificates of achievement, refreshments, and the opportunity to climb aboard an engine from Stafford Fire Department #1, while taking photos under a decal reading, “Bull Dog Pride.” This group of student-athletes has been a great source of civic pride for our community and we are extremely proud of the state recognition they have brought to Stafford. Congratulations on your victories and thank you to all those who helped make yesterday’s reception a special evening. [More Information]
