Friends of the Stafford Library

The Friends of the Stafford Library is a nonprofit organization that supports the Stafford Library. They provide funding for programs, activities, and more including the all-ages summer reading program, which promotes reading, recreation, and library use while helping children retain literacy skills built during the school year. The Nutmeg Book Award nominees which encourage children and teens to read quality literature. Music & Motion, a long-standing program for children ages birth to five, with music therapist Renee Coro, and the museum pass program, which enables patrons to borrow free or reduced admission passes to local museums and attractions.

They raise money for the Library by:

  • Holding an annual book sale
  • Holding an annual cookie sale in December
  • Selling personalized bricks for the Library entryway in honor of family members and friends
  • Selling used books and puzzle in the book nook located in the coffee bar

However, the majority of funds come from membership. Please consider becoming a Friend.
