Our Mission
-
To act as the coordinating agency in all matters concerning veterans and their dependents, and to coordinate the activities of public and private facilities concerned with veterans’ reemployment, education, rehabilitation and adjustment to peacetime living;

To cooperate with all national, state and local governmental and private agencies in securing services and benefits to which a veteran or his dependents may be entitled;

To use the services and facilities of the veterans organizations so far a possible to carry out the purpose of this ordinance;
-
To encourage and coordinate vocational training services for veterans; and
-
Any other duties and responsibilities which are authorized by Section 27-102l of the Connecticut General Statutes.
- Any veteran who served in the U.S. Armed Forces between 1941 to present day
- Current active duty, Guard/Reserve
- An immediate family member of a US service member or veteran
- Caregiver to a US service member or veteran
- Surviving Family Member
- DD-214, DD-215, or equivalent. If you do not have these, we can order them for you!
- Government Issued Photo Identification (Driver’s License, or State ID, or Military ID, etc.

- You will be connected with a local Post Service Officer from The American Legion or VFW
